If Martin Luther King was still alive today, he'd be 83.
83. Not yet one lifetime.
So much hatred and racism, and the behaviors spawned by it are still ingrained in this American society. Anyone who says otherwise is fooling themselves badly.
I was a bit put off today, because I'm not in a position to find my Testament of Hope book and do my usual reading. I've been reading online instead - not as conducive for deep thought, but still.
I hope everyone not of color who reads me has given a little thought to the issues we still stumble on.
Now, USA, how about getting a Malcolm X Day set up?
