The January Sickness

It seems that Orple 1-Dog 3-Cat Headquarters is generally sick today.

Lovelyman and I are downed by a weird "cross-between-cold-and-flu" thing
Miss McNugget has a major belly upset
and both Fatbellins* and Spazmuffin* - two of the stepcats - have been sneezing (the latter much more than the former). Luckily, Miz Silkmonster* - the third stepcat - gives the impression of doing well.

The happy? None of us are upset beyond being a little whiny or mroow-ey.

The sad? That we're all sick at the same time and can't focus on caring for our loved ones the way we would otherwise.

All of this reminds me of the old "sick schedule" I had in late-high-school on into college, where I knew I'd get certain ailments at certain points of year. Laryngitis? March. Skin flares? September. The flu?

Right after New Years.

Am I back on schedule? My worklife from 2002 on completely muddled the schedule due to overwhelming stress, but I'm hoping that the new job, with its different pace, might be changing things.
